TACTICAL BUSH KNIFE - LARGE - KA BAR USMC
This is one of the biggest selling knives in the world. It has a cult following dating back to World Word II and has influenced the design of many other knives since.
Originally the military standard issue for the US Marines it earned legendary status for its handle grip, strength and durability which it retains today.
You might think this knife is over the top as a general camp or belt carry knife, until you use it.
Most kitchen knives are around 6 - 8 inches long and this blade falls neatly in the middle at 7 inches, making it a handy length for camp cook tasks. Its grind makes it a surprisingly good slicer.
We have tested it over time in the kitchen at home and found the length and grind to work well for the main camp task, slicing & preparing food. It is one of my Daughters favourite "small" knives to use... :0)
With its strength, it can also be used for a range of bush tasks and be a knife that is handed down for generations.
Besides the blade coating, we love there is no plastic, just metal and leather.
For a tactical designed knife, we feel it can also be a good general-purpose knife in the bush when you want something large to depend on.

Jimmy's Tip: While the high carbon blade had a coating to help prevent rust the cutting edge is exposed. Keep maintained with a light coat of oil after use.
