Want to make sure there are no spills?
This portable toilet, 'Dunny Bag' has been designed with a sealed liner to catch any fluid that may leak when travelling.
It has also been designed with multiple tie down points including heavy duty D-rings and strong webbing handles on the top to secure the load. So if you need to store it on the roof rack or in the vehicle, you can tie it down tight to reduce movement and risk of tipping over on bumpy tracks.
While it is functionally designed for use, it also looks the goods and like the dunny, is a joy to use! :0)
We believe this is one of the most premium Australian Made products on the market in terms of craftsmanship and materials. This is where form and function meet and is what you can expect from GRABmeGEAR. Who says everyday outdoor gear can't also be pieces of outdoor art! You put a lot of time an effort into building your rig, so why not complement it with tough, practical accessories that also have style & atheistic appeal... designed on purpose.
If you run our other bin bags, they will also have a similar look & feel.
The deep front pocket gives you a place to store eco tabs, toilet paper (search around for composting toilet paper), wipes and whatever else you need. Depending on the model of toilet you run, you may have additional storage inside the bag.
The front pocket is not made to contain liquid or waterproof from weather so choose what goes in there.

Jimmy's Tip's:
1 - If you can, it is best to keep toilet paper separate. For example, after use, place in a degradable zip lock bag and dispose of in the bin or burn on the fire. This will save the toilet outlet pipe clogging when your pour it out; at this point, the quicker & easier the better!
2 - To wash out the bag please use a gentle garden hose and not a high pressure hose. A light hose over should be enough and dry in shade. High pressure strips the properties of the canvas and can damage other component materials.
NOTE:
- Some pictures of the bag may be different to the current model available. Design changes regularly occur based on feedback & performance.
- Overseas customers - please check the import duties for your country. You may receive additional shipping / Government charges on arrival which will be your responsibility.

WHAT'S THE STORY?
We have noticed an increase in the amount of paid camping sites where it is mandatory to have a portable toilet.
We have also noticed that many free camping sites are littered with toilet paper - maybe not everyone is aware that you need to dig at least a 30cm hole, burn your paper and bury it, compacting the soil again plus replacing ground cover. We carry OCA Sacks (Outback Cleanups Australia) to clean up a campsite that has rubbish left behind.
So more and more there will be a requirement to be fully self-sufficient wether free or paid camping, including carrying a portable toilet or fire pit.
Now, I love a packing challenge, yet building in a dunny into the set up is something we have personally avoided. It is a big, bulky, heavy thing; just the sorted of object I've spent years weeding out to save space & weight... I had lots of questions - How do you store the thing? How do you contain it on bumpy tracks? What if the plastic breaks? How about the smell? What if it leaks? Etc.
These questions had been floating around in my mind so it was time to see if we can answer them and create a solution.
For us personally, a dunny (Australian for toilet) would need to travel on the back seat when solo or in the camper trailer with the family. That creates a requirement for it to be contained. This makes the design and manufacture more intensive than a normal straight canvas & stitched bag.
If it was going to be stored in the vehicle we wanted to make sure it did not roll around or move out of place so it could tip over. So heavy-duty tie downs were needed to secure 10kg+ when full.
People may want to secure it to a roof rack, ute tray, trailer etc. so tie downs needed for that also.
Then it needed to be sealed so if there are leaks it won't spill into the vehicle (learnt some good lessons in testing!).
So there are 2 bags in one. The outer canvas shell + the inner PVC liner that is stitched and welded.
While it is designed for a dunny, it could also be a standard bin / dirty gear bag to use in the caravan, cabin, boat or garage; loads of potential uses.
Like our other bags we wanted something that was both a joy to use and a joy to look at. We believe you should feel good each time you use a piece of crafted gear, something that does the job and puts a smile on the face at the same time! :0)
We hope this solves a problem for you, giving you more time and space just to enjoy getting out there.
We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback plus seen any pictures of the bag in action!
Always intrigued to see how people put the gear to use, often in ways we had not thought of. I have a feeling this bag will have many other purposes, spot on!
Your investment
This is a premium bag with a goal to retaining quality, craftsmanship and manufacturing in Australia. Producing a bag of this quality locally is a challenging feat that comes with some additional costs as it is still done by a person with their hands. It can be made cheaper in higher volumes with machinery we do not have available and different materials. So when you purchase a premium product like this, you are also helping to keep small batch manufacturing and skills transfer alive. We'd love to see local, small scale manufacturing move beyond survive to thrive through innovative use of design and materials to meet future challenges that we can share with the world. This is a small step towards that goal.
Thanks
Jimmy
